While the composition of proposed team for any given project may change depending on the nature of the assignment, the core competencies of GWCi team members will typically include the following competencies and experience, for instance:

- Over a minimum of 20 years of executive level experience
- Prior work experience in at least 20 countries
- Mastery in the domains of any or a combination of the following:
- Operations Research
- Statistical Methods, Economic Analysis, and Analytical Software
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Knowledge of Cybersecurity
- Compliance, Ethics, and Experience in Undertaking Compliance Investigations
- Global Trade and Trade Policy
- Entrepreneurship Enhancement Experience
- Knowledge of Specific Federal Government Agencies and of State and Local Government Agencies
- Deep and/or Firsthand Knowledge of the Inner Workings of Foreign Governments
- Prior Work Experience with International Development Banks
- Financial Management
- Demonstrated Excellence in Writing and Public Speaking
