ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This course is to focus attention on the 10 most costly “significant findings” implementing mistakes, according to the USAID OIG’s “Semi Annual Reports to Congress” (SARCs), and to demonstrate how they can be avoided by wisely applying and managing the 5Ps: 5Ps: Policies, Procedures, Processes, People, and Partnerships.
The workshop will be based on real world cases from the USAID OIG’s SARCs that entail “significant findings” in each of the top 10 areas: Bribery, Fraud, False Claims, Kickbacks, Conflict of Interest, Falsified documents, Corruption, Theft, Embezzlement, & Financial Mismanagement. The cases that will be used in the workshop have been carefully selected by the facilitators to underscore critical lessons learned in all of the 10 major problem areas typically found.
Our expert trainers will deliver the training in a highly participatory style that gives participants the chance to examine cases to understand what went wrong and why and to collaborate about how to apply the 5Ps to prevent such problems. We share tools and techniques that can be immediately used in your work.
